Blue Knight Christmas Toy Run

Purpose: For the 9th year in a row, the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motor Cycle Clubs i.e; Texas Chapter XIISA Fire Fighter's MC and MRDC Rev. Jim Dehoog, announce our 9th installment of this great Christmas run. Join us as many local Motorcycle and Classic Car Clubs merge at VFW 837 on Valley Field and please support us as we again execute our annual "Mission Road Developmental Center Christmas Motorcycle and Classic Car Gift Run for our area's mentally and physically challenged kids. It's an extraordinary event and a very enjoyable experience if you love beautiful Motorcycles, stunning Classic Cars, great Law Enforcement Motorcyclists, the great brotherhood of SA Fire Fighter's, VFW MG, EVO LE MC, Iron Pigs LEMC, Great Christian Motorcycle Riders, BACA, Guardians of the Children MC, Road Weasels MC, VFWMC, American Legion Riders MC, Rough Riders MC, US Army's Green Knights MC, and many others, while simutaneously bringing Christmas cheer to many of San Antonio's disabled kids, this is the event you've been waiting for. All these great friends will again help us make the day so very special for some 120 wonderful Kids living at the center. We will celebrate Christmas with the kids and staff and of course celebrate the meaning of the season. We get to share a bit of ourselves with these great folks and our community! This event actually started 9 years ago by members of the San Antonio Police Burglary Unit; Ret. Detective Teddy Stewart, Det. Robert Stan Cunningham, Capt. Patrick Murnin and me, Sgt. Bill Lowry. Many of our chapter Blue Knights are also members of the SAPD Honor Guard the HG Band, and the VFW. These great original Policeman may have been mediocre singers back 9 years ago but now you're in for a treat...they will not sing ever again. Instead we'll feature the wonderful musicians who make up the Central Catholic High School Band. Please come join us for the 2008 Christmas Toy Run to Mission Road Developmental Center! It's only $10.00 donation per MC or Classic Car driver and $5.00 for a single passenger. The entry will entitle the participants to ride in the parade, participate in the bike and car show, attend and participate in the incredible event at Mission Road Developmental Center itself, help with the distribution of the gifts to the kids, then attend the subsequent BBQ at Leon's Ice House 1953 WW White Rd afterwards. All for only $10.00 each...all of which goes to produce this fun event and buy gifts and goodies for the kids. It's great fun, a great show of compassion by bikers and classic car enthusiasts aboard their stock, chopped customized bikes, dragsters, classic cars, street rods, street machines, Fire Trucks etc.
